We had a sleepover with the DeHart cousins last night (using "sleep" in very loose terms, of course... no sound at about 1:30 a.m. and back up at 6:30 a.m.). I just overheard this conversation in the backyard.
Anna: You don't get paid for cleaning that because you are a servant.
Jacob: Servants DO get paid.
Savannah: Yeah, it's slaves that don't get paid.
Jacob: I know that because I learned it in a history book.
Savannah: Yeah, and I know that because I learned it from my brain.

You would think that with Emmaline as her sister Savannah would have learned more patience.
