The best sound we've heard!

Even though Oliver doesn't quite know what that sound is... you can probably guess. Number four is on the way! The due date is April 13th (I'm 10 weeks) so we're not totally out of the woods yet, but this was very encouraging. We can't wait!

Overheard in the car...

This was actually something Savannah's best friend, Nikki, said, but I had to share it. These little "tween" girl conversations are so hilarious.

"I can't believe I said that. I must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed or something. I mean, I felt like I had eaten fried eggs for breakfast. That was so embaressing!"

I'm going to have to use that some time. Kind of reminds me of when Emmaline was little and told me her tummy hurt and she felt like "mustard." That's been the "code" in our family for feeling yucky in any way ever since.

Savannah's Birthday

This post is WAY overdue (our internet has been sketchy lately) but I thought I'd share some pictures for the side of the family that hasn't seen these yet. We spent Savannah's birthday at John's cousin's cabin in Wyoming.

There was lots of horseback riding.


This is Emmaline's preferred way to ride. Obviously this is a VERY tame horse!


Megan was in heaven! The horses would lean down and she would kiss their noses.

We caught lots of fish...

...in spite of the fact that Emmaline was in the water!

Somehow this was the only picture of Oliver.

Probably because he didn't ride horses (although he did walk under them to pet their bellies- yikes). He also spent the fishing time across the lake since he kept throwing rocks into the water.

We had a fabulous time with only one trip to the Emergency Room (3 guesses who that was for, although we did avoid stitches this time). I'll post more of Savannah's birthday party soon.
