My earliest memory

Like Leslie, I don't have a lot of memories of my childhood. My first really clear memory was the first day of kindergarten, so I was 5. I was really afraid and crying and didn't want to stay. Mama kept telling me, "Look. There is Harris. You know him, and he is having a lot of fun." He was riding a rocking horse. Kind of crazy the things you will remember.

Tyler's Art Show

Tyler had his first art show on Friday at Evergreen Gallery. It was a lot of fun to see all of his artwork displayed. Grab up these pieces while you can... maybe someday he'll be famous =) By the way, the computer really doesn't do most of the pieces justice, but check out Tyler's newly updated site anyway.

He's a Big Boy Now

After a few flips out of the port-a-crib, we decided to convert the crib into a toddler bed and moved Ollie upstairs. Although we can't believe he is 2 and we still haven't finished his room... things are working out well. Wasn't he just born yesterday?

After prayers, the girls wanted to hug him and he said, "No, I go my own bed." And ran in the. other room and went straight to bed. Maybe I took the girls out too early, but they weren't nearly that easy

Our Computer is Dead!

On Saturday, Emmaline spilled lemonade on the keyboard of Tyler's laptop. She didn't tell us because she wanted to go to a friend's house. We discovered it a couple of hours later. You can imagine the damage. We are waiting to see what magic Jaim can perform to get it back!

Also, my neighbor has been on bedrest and she doesn't know how to connect the T.V. and computer up at the same time... hence my long silence (we still do wireless with them as our electrical system is still not finished)! I miss everyone! We'll get it figured out soon.

Happy Birthday, Tyler

I had to post this picture for Tyler's birthday because I think it shows so much about him. He's the kind of Dad that loves to spend time with his kids doing fun things. He loves to play games like hide-and-seek, chase, soccer, and whatever other crazy variation he can come up with. Not only is he a fantastic Dad, he is the smartest person I have ever known... but still enjoys talking to me =) He is so handsome that I often get weird comments from other women ("Your husband is really good looking. No, I mean REALLY good looking." Like I hadn't noticed or something). He is an incredibly talented artist. And he's all mine! Happy Birthday! Glad you're finally as old as me! (34)

Sisters, sisters... there were never such devoted sisters,

I'm not sure if I have ever known two sisters that were as different as Emmaline and Savannah. Take their recent assignment for school projects. They could choose their own topic. Savannah chose Elizabeth I. Emmaline chose plagues... the black plague and yellow fever. Emmaline got her idea from a story Savannah told her about Queen Elizabeth and an old "Family Hour" tape. Before we did any research, she stayed up late one night writing a rough draft of all the information as she understood it. That included facts like:

"At first I was worried I might catch one of the plagues, but then I learned that most people do not catch it now. Only some people in the middle of nowhere catch it."

Unique doesn't even begin to describe her!

Halloween in Review

Trick-or-treating went pretty well last night. Tyler took the kids out while I stayed home to greet at our house and finish a little project. Ollie only lasted about 20 minutes, but they all got PLENTY of candy. Here are our pictures of the season.
