We had a great weekend. Savannah was invited to be a guest player with the Red Devil's soccer team to make sure she could play well with them. She made a goal in each of the first two games, including the winning goal in one game. This both helped her make a firm decision about which team she wanted to join and secured her forward position on the Red Devil's team. She is ecstatic. The team is really good and competitive enough that she has to really try. I haven't seen her run like that in a long time. It's exciting. They won second place in the tournament. I think it's going to be a great year.
We had a barbecue at Georgia and John's tonight. It was a lot of fun... partly because John cooked some "elk burgers." Oliver loved saying, "This is some goo-ood dead elk. Have you tried some of this dead elk? Let me have some more of that dead elk." He is such a character. Not only were we celebrating the holiday... but congratulating Kevin on his upcoming graduation. Can you believe he is done with high school?
