Pack up the bags, Tyler. It's time to move!
While we were dating, there was this commercial on T.V. about "Livin' in Utah." Tyler liked to tease me about it and I would always say, "I don't live here. I'm just visiting." Hmmm... that was 20 years ago. I never envisioned myself living here, so you can imagine my dismay last night as I heard this conversation between Emmaline and Oliver. Oliver was having trouble spelling the word "milk." He kept sounding it out and spelling it "melk." Finally Emmaline said, "You see, Oliver. We have something called a Utah accent. It makes us say things like melk, cray-in, and mou-in." Arrrgh- I just never saw that coming!

That is one of my fondest memories of spending summers with the Horns. Your mom trying to teach me how to speak “Southern”.
OMG I never considered that if I raise my kids here they will say Mountain like utahns!
ha! too funny.
oh, the Utah accent..."sell" instead of "sale" always mankes me laugh. Somehow I managed to grow up in Utah and don't have too much of an accent...it can be done!
I love that Emmaline!
Wow I've had a lot of catching up to do on your blog. Emmaline's hair is so long! I love it!
I almost posted the other day about how my kids said "acrost" instead of across. I freaked out. "There's no t at the end of across! You can't have a Utah accent!" I can totally relate to your feelings.
