...why I'm not blogging so often, I'll give you a little snapshot of my day yesterday. I woke up early to run, in spite of the fact that I was up with Oliver most of the night since he had the stomach flu (yes, we have it again). Got the girls off to school and came home to finish cleaning out the garage.
While I was cleaning out the garage, Megan rolled in something smelly, so I made an afternoon appointment to have her groomed. Headed to IFA to get a new chicken coop. Came home and began moving the old coop, only to find that there was another tree stump under it that had to be removed before they laid the foundation for the new garage on Tuesday. Began trying to get someone to come grind my stump as soon as possible.
Lost track of time and was 20 minutes late to Megan's appointment. I asked them if there was any way they could squeeze her in and could see by their appointment book, laying open on the counter, that their schedule was totally open- not a single dog coming in for the rest of the day. The lady went back in the back for a moment and came back to tell me that she was sorry, but they were booked and could I bring her back tomorrow? NO!! Took the smelly dog home to sit in the snow and give the boys a snack.
As we began to walk out the door, Oliver begins throwing up again (he hadn't thrown up since early in the morning). Clean him up and head to get the girls from school. Drop Emmaline at art class and head to the do-it-yourself dog wash with Megan. The rest of the evening is a blur between making dinner, typing a paper for Emmaline (I know, she has to learn- but 10 pages is beyond her capacity), checking Savannah's math test, laundry from Oliver's illness (and my clean freak mode that goes along with it) and finishing up the garage with chipping off enough ice on the sidewalk to move Tyler's scooter over and cover it. I was glad to drop into bed at midnight!!
I really want to blog about our holiday, but I guess it will have to wait for another day.
Thanks for "listening" to me gripe. =-)

Someone else has those kinds of days too! My heart goes out to you - you're amazing!
So sorry you had such a bad day! I hope Oliver is feeling better now and Megan is smelling better. Get some rest. You're going to enjoy your new garage real soon.
