If you've got a bunch of shells hanging around...

why not make something? As mentioned before, Emmaline is constantly doing some kind of craft. This summer, she discovered a website that I think is made for kids like her. She's made everything from fancy flip flops to adding lace and embellishments to her jeans and she calls it "caking". One night, she used a Martha Stewart idea to make candles out of sea shells. She and Oliver thought it was fun. We won't mention the mess involved. I love how creative she is... I just can't wait until she knows how and is able to clean up after these projects. Maybe that's just wishful thinking.

She's just like her daddy. Those shells candles are really cool. I envision a beach wedding using those. You might just have the next Martha Stewart on your hands.

Seems like creativity always has some kind of trade off doesn't it! By the way, LOVE that picture of you in your new sunglasses that Tyler took on his phone.

She has so many diverse interests and talents, so cleaning could be added to that list, or does that take the other side of the brain?? Craftiness and cleanliness are usually exclusive but surely that doesn't have to be that way. Glad you are so encouraging to her imagination and she has a partner that's all good.

You're such a good Mom. Fingerpaints push me over the edge. Don't worry, she'll be a rich and famous artist one day and have someone to follow her around and clean up after her!
