Our bishop has encouraged us to choose a verse of scripture as a "theme" for the year. Tyler and I chose:
2 Timothy 1: 7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
This felt really "right" for our life now and current business perspective as well.
Emmaline was in charge of the activity for the night and decided we should do oatmeal/yogurt facials.

such a great idea.
Oliver's skin does look particularly smooth, and he was getting on in years a bit.
So funny.
Oh Charlotte, that is hilarious! What great kids. Gotta love Ollie!!
I love the spa night! Ollie is my favorite! He is a crack up! I'm going to steal this idea for our family. I love the top ten list for the year. It could be a fun thing to do on New Year's.
that is a great family theme scripture. what a fun tradition, and i love the idea of ollie with an oatmeal mask. as if his skin wasn't super soft beforehand.
Again so funny. Ollie's picture tells it all. Hilarious boy. The scripture is one of my favorites. It was the YW scripture when we lived in Charlottesville, the only time I was ever ask to serve in Young Women. It is so true and a real guiding star as to where your feelings are coming from.
I love the facials!!! Quite the family activity! I love the list looks like lots of great memories were made this year:)
That is so funny! You have such a cute family. I wish I could pull that off with my family, but I'd have to have a really great bribe and no camera for it to work. :-)
My boys love pedicures (manly clear polish of course.
Love the scripture.
