Medical Update

Everyone keeps asking how I'm doing... so here's the update. I went to the doctor today and he was very pleased with my progress... and his handiwork! As he looked at the sites, he said, "Wow. I don't even think you'll have a noticeable scar on these two places. Makes you wish you had let me get my hands on you years ago, huh?!" Guess he doesn't realize that I'm not the bikini wearing type and that wasn't the hold up! He was also surprised that I wasn't wearing sweats, but on the way home I decided I wished I had been as well.

Yesterday I did feel a noticeable difference in the pain and soreness. I quit taking the pain meds fairly early on because Tucker seemed fussier than usual and I thought maybe it was affecting my milk. While it hasn't seemed to help him much, I am able to gauge my recovery pretty well. Most of the internal soreness is gone (now it just feels like a pulled muscle) and the only external sore place is the incision at the belly button which looks a little worse than the other two places and will take longer to heal. I have a new appreciation for all those moms with C-sections. Lifting a baby and being sore isn't so fun. Luckily Georgia and Gail were able to help so much! Modern medicine is amazing and I'm pretty much back to normal, minus the unnecessary body part =)

Glad you're getting better. Maybe Tucker is upset because of all the changes? Babies pick up on anything new on their routine. At least my kids did.
